Jay G. Davis, DDS

Dr. Jay G. Davis received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 1998 and in 2002 earned his D.D.S. at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.  Prior to graduation from dental school, Dr. Davis and his family looked at several Middle Tennessee practice opportunities and fell in love with Shelbyville.  Davis Dental was formed out of the lifelong dental practice of the Dr. Joe Lambert and later Dr. Dianne Watson. 

Dr. Davis is committed to learning through continuing education courses and stays involved in organized dentistry with memberships in The American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, his local Fourth District Dental Society and study clubs.  He holds several offices in these organizations including serving as Vice President of Middle Tennessee for the TDA Board of Trustees. Volunteering at local mission dental clinics and with the Interfaith Dental Clinic of Rutherford County also occupy many of Dr. Davis’ days away from his office.  Since arriving in Shelbyville in 2002, he has been an active member of First United Methodist Church and The Rotary Club of Shelbyville.  Dr. Davis’ hobbies have changed a bit through the years as his children have grown.  He now mostly enjoys lake time on his boat, a few good rounds of golf, and lots of home repair projects.

 This year, Dr. Davis and his wife Cassie will celebrate 23 years of marriage in August, see their daughter graduate high school and move away to college, and watch their son finish his first year of high school.
